Documents being reviewed during a debt collection case discussion

Final Warning Ltd

Our debt collection process

Every enquiry starts with the facts of the debt, the debtor's location and the information you already hold.

A straightforward starting point

Understand the case before deciding the next move.

Our process is built around a clear conversation. We need to understand the debt, the people or businesses involved, the debtor’s location and the records that support what is owed.

This gives you a practical basis for deciding whether to proceed with a face-to-face approach. It also means the proposed next step is connected to the actual circumstances rather than a generic promise.

What makes a review useful

Facts first, assumptions second.

Tell us what you know and identify anything that is uncertain. A clear distinction between an invoice, an agreed payment and an unanswered message helps keep the conversation accurate.

The debtor’s location is also important. Include the country, town or address information you hold, even if you are not sure it is current.

Private or commercial

Bring the records that match the case.

For a private debt, this may be an agreement, messages or a simple chronology. For a business debt, it may be an invoice, purchase order, delivery record and account correspondence.

Prepare what you know

A short, accurate summary is useful.

You do not need to write a long account before contacting us. Start with the amount owed, why it is owed, the date or event connected with it, the debtor’s details and the contact that has already taken place.

Our preparation guide lists the documents and questions that can make the first discussion clearer. You can also go directly to contact Final Warning Ltd.

Straight answers

Frequently asked questions.

Every case is different. These answers cover the first questions our clients ask.

What happens when I first contact you?

We ask about who is owed the money, who the debtor is, where they are based and what documents or correspondence you hold.

Will there always be a face-to-face visit?

Not necessarily. Suitability depends on the case details and information available. We discuss the appropriate route with you before activity begins.

What should I do if I do not have every document?

Contact us with the information you do have. We will explain what may be needed to review the circumstances and discuss the next step.
